HSC full form will be a higher Secondary Certificate board in India. There are currently 52 boards sanctioned by India catering to 30 states. For example, West Bengal is home to six different types of boards, including the Board of Primary Education, Board of Secondary education, the board of Madrasah education, Council of Rabindra open schooling as well as the state council of vocational education as well as the Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Overview of HSC Boards and Exam Pattern

India

In India, HSCIntermediate is known as 12th class (also known as +2) exam which is conducted at the state level by the state boards of education such as (Maharashtra board, MP board Odia board Bihar board, among others) in addition to at the national level, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE offers this exam every year. NIOS runs it twice a year, in public exams. There is an option of on-demand examinations. The other exam is the 10th class exam is also administered at the state level by State boards for education and at national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education and in India this exam is referred to as SSC exam. There are total 6 topics in the HSC exam which are different for each State Board but common in case of the Central Board of Secondary Education

Pakistan

The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) which is also known as Intermediate, is a public examination taken by the students of Higher Secondary school or Intermediate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. When they have completed Matriculation, grades 9 and 10, the students then enter into an intermediate college and finish their grades 11 and 12. When they have completed each of the two grades, they again are required to pass standardized tests for subject areas they are studying. These tests are conducted in provincial schools at the provincial level and by FBISE at the federal level. After passing the exams, students are granted the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of e education is also known as FSc/FA/ICS. There are a variety of streams that students can choose for their 11 or 12th grade which include pre-medical engineering as well as humanities (or social science) as well as computer science and commerce. Each stream has three electives as well as three compulsory subjects like English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the body responsible for the administration of all exams for senior schools which include 11th and 12th grade Higher Secondary exams (10+2), 11th and 12th grades SEE Exam, and the 8th eighth grade District Level Examination. After passing Higher Secondary Exams, a student will be qualified to attend university.

Aside from National higher secondary examinations, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a few of the public, private and foreign schools. The level is considered to be equivalent to National secondary school (10+2) examination.
